Objective
  • Under a Collaborative Research Agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), researchers are immunizing mice with coronavirus spike protein domains and virus-like particle immunogens designed by the team. These display key peptides derived from nCoV spike proteins.
  • Splenocytes from responding mice are transferred to the CDC, converted to large libraries of hybridomas, and screened at the CDC and in our lab for antigen binding.
  • The purpose of this project is to develop high affinity antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 specifically and against all coronaviruses.
