To evaluate how various school reopening strategies may impact the spread of Covid-19 in the state of Georgia. Researchers used an agent-based simulation model to project the number of infections and deaths under multiple school reopening scenarios.
To examine both the trade-off between the number of homebound people following Covid-19 interventions, such as school closures, voluntary quarantine, and shelter-in-place, as well as the impact on reducing disease spread and deaths.
To develop a disease spread model to estimate the number of Covid-19 infections, geographically and over time, and to support the state of Georgia’s decisions regarding testing resource needs estimate and allocation across various testing sites.
We propose to use machine learning approaches to predict the COVID-19 patients’ future disease progression/recovery with minimal human involvement and medical resources.
