Social distancing has been identified a way to help stop or slow the spread of Covid-19, but essential visits interrupt the implementation of social distancing. As a result, this project created a tool to enable intelligent, data-driven social distancing.
There are an estimated 1,300 pop-up Covid-19 testing facilities in the country, with the number continuing to grow to meet the needs of the area. While these testing centers allow more people to access vital tests, the rapid, un-standardized proliferation of Covid-19 testing centers has made it challenging for testing results to be communicated downstream to hospitals and doctors.
Nursing homes are challenged by connecting residents with caretakers and family, and it is difficult to track residents’ health status. This team worked to develop an app, CareRing, to keep everyone informed about residents’ needs.
This project developed a smartphone app, CoronAlert, to provide users with social distancing alerts and tips based on location and proximity to others. The app also provides users with updates on how they can stay healthy, such as reminds to brings masks or hand sanitizer when leaving a preset home location.
This project created a comfortable and long-wear protective mask for essential workers that allows for optimizable protection in various environments. The mask aims to alleviate uncomfortable, prolonged wear associated with effective masks through the use of adaptable features such as soft straps, valve flow adjustments, and fabric replacement.
This project aims to create a novel contact tracing system that reduces the transmission of Covid-19 by integrating univers
As new drugs are being tested for Covid-19, researchers are testing for any arrhythmic effects.
Create a low-cost, fast to manufacture ventilator unit that is an assembly of existing devices and complies with the Food and Drug Administration's Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
